The MBAA is informed that TM-CAD and UK CAA are close to signing a bilateral block permits agreement, 5th freedom on non-scheduled flights and cargo flights. This bilateral agreement will successfully be finalized in the coming weeks. A Memorandum of Understanding will be signed and will cover all crown dependencies, except Gibraltar. The benefit of the above is eliminating the need to apply for single permits per flight (which will be a requirement after 31st of March 2021), a two-working day process that would create an additional workload and would compromise being responsive to last-minute / urgent flight requests, which constitute an essential element of overall demand in business jet traffic.

We would like to thank TM-CAD for the continuous support to our initiatives
