Ten years ago the Malta Business Aviation Association was formed. At the time there was merely a handful of business aviation aircraft on the Maltese register and making this a success story was only a dream. A dream that today translates to in excess of 500 million Euro of economic output to the Maltese economy and more than 3,000 jobs. It has been quite a journey but one can say that Malta has become the industry’s favourite onshore jurisdiction with more than 160 business jets on the register and more in the pipeline.
Looking further than Malta
At the Malta Business Aviation Association jointly with the European Business Aviation Association we have now more than 20 members and we felt that it is time to renew our image and our goals. For this purposes we are pleased to inform that we have launched our brand new website which amongst other things offers a modern image, more publications exclusive for our members, a login to a dashboard offering statistical information, free listing on FindIt Malta, discounted participation in events and more to things to follow.
Our members
The association needs its members to function and as such we plan to hold an AGM and form a new board in June. Interested parties to form part of the board are urged to send their cv’s and a short letter on what motivates them to form part of the association. The Call of application is restricted to employees from all paid up members forming part of the association. The call of applications will be open until the end of May 2019.
We look forward to hear from you about your vision for the Maltese business aviation industry, your support and your news and events for publication on the MBAA website. Our promise is that we will continue to work hard to give our members a voice locally and on a European level.
