The Malta Resources Authority (MRA) is organising the second seminar on the ICAO Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) and the European Union’s Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) for Aircraft Operators. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, 13th November 2019, at the Salini Resort, Salina Bay, Malta.
The seminar is aimed at updating aircraft operators on the latest developments with regards to the ICAO CORSIA and the EU ETS and discuss pertinent issues of interest. The seminar will also focus on a number of implementation issues, and provide training on the template that the European Commission is currently preparing for the submission of operators’ annual emissions reports for both CORSIA and the EU ETS.
The MRA believes that active engagement by participants throughout the event is very important; the success of the first seminar held in January was primarily due to the very active participation of attendees and we trust that this second seminar will be the same. The MRA also believes that it is important for operators to share experiences. To this effect, MRA would like to invite operators to give short (5 minute) presentations on their experiences so far: we have provided time for two to three such presentations and therefore invite any operators who would like to contribute in this manner to inform us accordingly. We are flexible with the programme according to your feedback.
